What is herpes simplex?

Herpes simplex is very common; it is known as a viral infection and disease. It is related to sexually transmitted infections (STIs) or diseases (STDs). HSV or herpes simplex viruses is the main cause. These common viruses are not dangerous, but contagious. People who are infected usually have some common symptoms. Common symptoms of herpes simplex are cold sores, genital inflammation, or conjunctivitis. People who are infected with HSV have infectious sores and painful blisters around the mouth or on the genitals.

Two common types of herpes: herpes simplex virus 1 and 2 (HSV-1 and HSV-2). Herpes simplex virus 1 and 2 are also known as human herpesvirus 1 and 2 (HHV-1 and HHV-2). Both HSV-1 (which produces most cold sores) and HSV-2 (which produces most genital herpes) are popular and infectious.

Herpes simplex 1 (HSV – 1) is more popular than Herpes simplex 2 (HSV – 2) is. According to researchers, HSV -1 seems to be more dangerous than HSV – 2 because HSV – 2 is less prevalent than HSV- 1 is.

Because herpes simplex is contagious, it can be easily spread through direct contact with an infected individual (usually direct contact with saliva) who is producing and shedding the virus.

Main points about herpes:

Herpes simplex is one of the most common contagious diseases. In other words, it is related to sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Here we discuss about how to treat herpes safely, properly, and effectively at home with no side effects!

The fact is that some particular antibiotics can be used to treat and cure some curable STDs. However, we cannot remove herpes or herpes simplex virus 2 (also called genital herpes) completely. In other words, once herpes simplex virus 2 enters our body (genital herpes), the virus will stay in our body forever. In addition, we cannot get rid of herpes virus forever without normal treatment. We can only treat and relieve symptoms with normal treatments.
